Position: Lead Water Treatment Operator

Full Time: 40 hours/week (M-F 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, hours may vary)

Salary: $21.36-$30.18 D.O.E. plus Benefit package

NECESSARY AND SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation or equivalency: plus a minimum one year of college-level coursework in water treatment or equivalent. Additional educational achievement will be taken into consideration for advancement or promotional opportunities. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of college-level coursework.  Must possess or have the ability to obtain certification as an Oregon Water Treatment Plant Operator 2 with filtration endorsement.  Must possess an unrestricted valid Oregon Class “C” driver’s license.  Employee must maintain a safe driving record while employed with the Seal Rock Water District.  Must pass drug screening and background check.

DUTIES: The Lead Water Treatment Plant Operator performs a variety of tasks necessary to the operation and maintenance of the District's Beaver Creek Water Treatment Plant. The treatment plant is a WesTech membrane filtration facility capable of treating 2 MGD.  This position is also responsible for monitoring water quality in the water treatment/distribution system.  May assist in other distribution functions as needed.
